Don't be a drip!

Don't be a drip!

Did you know that more than 5000 children die every day because of waterborne illnesses -- illnesses which could be prevented with simple access to clean water?

Did you know that this week, UNICEF is making it easy for you to help -- and nourish yourself at the same time?

Enter the Tap Project. In select cities, participating restaurants will invite customers to pay just $1 for tap water (which, at least where I live, is usually free). 100% of proceeds go to UNICEF and each dollar contributed will provide clean, safe drinking water to a child for 40 days (and, yes, 40 nights, like a biblical flood of drinking water).

Hey why not, most people already pay $3.00 for a bottle of what they don't realize is tap water!!
Damn...doesn't look like it is happening in Vancouver, BC. :(

I saw this one day too late I guess!

Maybe we can convince some restaurants in Vancouver to participate? It sounds like a Very good idea!!

What a fantastic idea. I'd be more than happy to pay 1.00 for water to benefit this cause!

it is happening in Vancouver: http://www.unicef.ca/portal/SmartDefa...

This is a clever, innovative idea.

I'd pay an extra dollar if it's for a worthy cause.

I think this is an awesome idea! Definitely worth the $1.

Whata great idea
I want to get involved !

I think this is a great idea.

Good idea.... too bad Canada doesn't think water is a right

Great Idea! Let's all remember to 'Turn off the Tap' when we're not using it. (ie - while brushing your teeth) We need to start thinking about water like liquid gold and not let it just run down the drain. Cheers!

I love the idea.... I support this 100% :)

Great Idea, def pay a dollar for this.

Great on Unicef to get involved to have water purified. I think all governments should get involved in trying to make water clean all around the world. After all water is life!

This is a great idea and initiative! Roll on to Europe as well!! All my support from Spain!!!
