Johnson's Celebrity Hand-Me-Down Auction is in full swing, offering up donated baby gear from celebrity moms (and a dad! Holla, Matt Damon) with the proceeds going to to a selection of mother and baby-related projects on GlobalGiving.
I'm really tempted to call my mother to relive my baby clothing wearing days because my style back then was wicked cool. The sentimental ones and the ones my grandmother made are safely in storage, while others were relinquished to me when I was still doll-playing age . Cynthia, my glamorously-named Cabbage Patch doll who always tipped over from the weight of her hair, was dressed to the nines in her pajamas and dresses with arms that were inches too long.
But no one wants my old clothes and accessories.
Thank god Jeri Ryan’s items were gifts for her daughter as I don’t know how I’d feel about bidding on a pre-owned – as they say in auto biz – teething ring. Still, the auction is a fun way to raise some money for some very worthy causes.

I'm all for reuse...so I guess this is the super best thing because you're reusing celebrity garb! It will be interesting (from a strictly commerce angle) how much these end up going for ...since some of them are expensive to begin with. Perhaps it will encourage other celebrities to just auction off "last season's jeans", etc. I've seen MTV Cribs way too many times...."the shoes gots to go" ;-)
