I just shouted that out, but don't duck! In fact, you should stand up and pay attention for this one. We just found out that Tiger Woods, the king of the course himself, is auctioning off the opportunity to accompany him for a round of golf.

And we're not talking about Golden Tee, here, either. This is the 2008 Buick Open Pro-Am Tournament! The package being auctioned for charity includes a Pro-Am gift pack, tournament tickets, access to Pro-Am events, and -- of course, the chance to play 18 holes with Tiger Woods himself.

If you think this experience might bring out the "Tiger" in you, just because you've gotten really good at Tiger Woods '08, you might need to get yourself out to the range -- the winning bidder has to have a handicap of 21 or lower.

Rumor has it that this starts May 31st...

Bookmark today to ensure that you're not the one left tee'd off!

Summer's coming, and we all know what that means: soaring temperatures, barbecues, slip and slide, and summer music festivals!

If you're a rockstar, you know how much goes into putting on a good tour. There's venue selection, vehicles and transportation, souvenir merchandise, and more stage and lighting equipment than it takes to build a 787. With all of those moving parts, it's hard for a rockstar to make sure that everything stays clean and green. (Country stars seem to have an easier time.

That's where Reverb comes in. This tour company helps big name acts like John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band and the Beastie Boys stay on the right side of climate change, by providing a range of services, including biodiesel for vehicles and generators, biodegradable catering produts, eco-friendly merchandise, and carbon-neutral concerts and venues.

So, all of you rockstars out there, don't delay. Get on the Green tour bus today!

http://whatgives.com/post/2008/3/dont-be-a-drip Don't be a drip!

Did you know that more than 5000 children die every day because of waterborne illnesses -- illnesses which could be prevented with simple access to clean water?

Did you know that this week, UNICEF is making it easy for you to help -- and nourish yourself at the same time?

Enter the Tap Project. In select cities, participating restaurants will invite customers to pay just $1 for tap water (which, at least where I live, is usually free). 100% of proceeds go to UNICEF and each dollar contributed will provide clean, safe drinking water to a child for 40 days (and, yes, 40 nights, like a biblical flood of drinking water).

Visit http://www.tapproject.org/ to find out more.

http://whatgives.com/post/2008/2/thank-you-bob-lutz Thank You, Bob Lutz!

I wanted to write a quick little thank you note to Bob Lutz, General Motors' Product Czar, for providing fodder for my first ever blog post!

GM can hardly be described as the world's greenest car company, but who knew they were so far behind? This month, the high ranking exec and apparent climate change expert told a group of reporters in a closed door meeting that, and I quote,

"Global warming is a crock of sh%t."

Bob, the doors may have been closed, but the reporters were IN THE ROOM with you. I don't know what "scientists" have your ear on this one, but if its the same kind that are making a fortune off of Airborne ("created by a former second grade teacher!") then I'd recommend checking in with any one of the intellectual majority of the scientific community for an effervescent dose of the truth.

So thanks, Bob, for making it so easy for me to get started.
